Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with PMs and designers to define technical constraints before development begins.

  • Act as the engineering point of contact for cross-functional requests, collaborating closely with product and design teams.

  • Break down complex features into clear, actionable tickets for the team.

  • Build and maintain high-performance mobile features using Expo, Tamagui, React Hook Form, and Reanimated.

  • Leverage AI development tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate coding workflows and maintain high standards of efficiency.

  • Write maintainable code, participate in peer code reviews, and mentor junior developers to ensure high code quality.

  • Identify performance bottlenecks and surface technical risks or blockers proactively.

  • Participate in Agile development processes, including Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and story estimation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining mobile or full-stack applications.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive clarity from high-level concepts.

  • Deep expertise in React Native development and the Expo ecosystem.

  • Strong experience translating designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces using Tamagui and Reanimated.

  • Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and managing complex state.

  • Proficiency in AI-assisted coding, with a proven ability to use tools like Cursor or Claude to enhance productivity.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a "get-it-done" mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern mobile deployment environments.

  • Familiarity with microservice architectures.

  • Experience with version control tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
